Privacy Policy

The short version: this site does not ask you for anything, does not run ads, and does not build a profile of you. What follows is the detail.

Information we collect directly

None, unless you send it. There is no sign-up form, no newsletter, and no comment section. If you email us, we hold that email in order to reply to it, and for no other purpose.

Server logs

Like nearly every website, the hosting provider that serves these pages records standard request information — IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. This is used for security and to keep the site running. We do not use it to identify individual visitors.

Cookies

This site itself does not set tracking cookies.

However, when you click an affiliate link and leave for a retailer such as Amazon, that retailer sets a cookie in your browser. It records that you arrived from this site, so that if you buy something the retailer knows to credit the referral. That cookie belongs to the retailer, not to us, and it is governed by their privacy policy. We never see who you are or what you bought — only aggregate totals of referrals.

You can block or clear these cookies in your browser settings at any time. Doing so does not affect your ability to read anything here.

Third parties

Fonts on this site are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google's servers receive a request from your browser when a page loads. Their handling of that request is covered by Google's own privacy policy.

Links out to retailers take you to sites we do not control. Once you leave, their policies apply.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your rights

Because we hold almost nothing, there is usually nothing to request or delete. If you have emailed us and want that correspondence removed, ask and it will be.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
